Peaceful Poetry
Poetic Expression
I first started writing poetry at age six in primary school. When I won a poetry competition.
It was my first taste of writing and poetry. I have continued to write throughout my life, I am
using this space to share some of my poems. Please see below.
Meditation, Qi Gong and Tai chi practice has enhanced my creativity and writing, creating a
calm peaceful place allowing creativity to flow and manifest as a story or a poem. This inspired
me to run Qi Gong and Creative Writing workshops ‘to enhance the creative flow’.
See my workshops page.
So here are a few of my poems, these will continue to change over time. I hope you enjoy
reading them.

An Autumn Leaf
A single leaf let’s go
No holding on
No attachment
It just falls
In freedom
To the earth
There on the earth
It lies in peace

The Himalayas - Nepal
The sound of Tibetan Trumpets
Resonate across snow capped mountains
Buddhist chants appear distant now
Like the echo in a desolate valley
The lake has a film of tranquility
There is peace here
It can be heard
It can be felt, even touched
The river carries man’s thoughts
Minds that have wandered
This barren land
In search of self
The clouds clear like passing shadows
Majestic mountains break through
Revealing a glimpse of inspiration
Along steep paths, we continue to climb.

A Simple Life
Where freedom paves the way
along stone paths that lead to peace.
Where moments of magic appear
when gratitude walks beside me.
My mind will be free of clutter
and creativity will sit at my table.
Peace will lie at my feet,
compassion will fill my heart
as nature surrounds me.
I will bear less, become lighter
with no bags to weigh me down.
I will soar like an eagle.
After all,
all that we possess,
all that we acquire.
we leave behind.
One day you will find me
living a simple life
of peace and of joy.
Come join me.

Seeds
You lie there
In the depths of the earth
Waiting for the time
To sprout
And show me
What it truly means
To become a flower
In bloom

Peace
In the stillness
I find you
I realise
I never left you
I got distracted
I have come back
To you
My peace
